About

I noticed at a young age that the interior of a space can have a profound impact on our well-being. My first experience of a well-designed space occurred during sleepovers at my aunt’s house - a relaxing haven. She had all the details and the right touches - where I learned that the details make the design.

I didn’t revisit my appreciation for interior design until I was a student at Cornell University, and became involved in Hotel Ezra Cornell as the organization’s Design Manager and later Design Director. I took classes in Restaurant Design & Development and met my mentor, the late Professor Richard Penner, who guided me and encouraged me to pursue a graduate degree in interior design.

Prior to Kyi Gyaw Interiors, I was fortunate to work for some of the most prestigious hospitality interior design firms and gained incredible knowledge and techniques while helping design high-end residences, restaurants, and hotels. Some of the projects include The Raffles Hotel, Beverly Hills Hotel, Park MGM, Inn at Perry Cabin, Primo Orlando, and Mayfair Supper Club - to name a few.

My passion is to help my clients create spaces that they love to live, work, play, and dine in. Whether that’s a residence or a business, I’d love to be a part of your journey in creating something that you can be proud of with a healthy budget in mind. My approach is holistic, collaborative, and relaxed. If we work together, it’ll be a partnership; I’m here to listen to your needs, the feelings you want to elicit in each space, and the memories you want to create. I look forward to having the opportunity to work with you.
